Mountain Heart Ministries is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for protecting the mission, overseeing the organization’s activities, and helping ensure that resources entrusted to the ministry are used responsibly.
Our board provides oversight in areas including organizational policy, financial stewardship, program development, compliance, and long-term planning.
Our Board’s Responsibility
The Board of Directors is responsible for helping ensure that Mountain Heart Ministries remains faithful to its mission and operates with integrity.
Board responsibilities include:
- Protecting the mission and purpose of Mountain Heart Ministries
- Providing financial oversight
- Reviewing organizational policies and major decisions
- Helping establish responsible programs and procedures
- Addressing potential conflicts of interest
- Reviewing the ministry’s activities and progress
- Helping ensure compliance with applicable nonprofit requirements
- Planning for the ministry’s long-term sustainability
Independent Oversight
Mountain Heart Ministries recognizes that charitable resources are entrusted to us for a purpose.
Important organizational and financial decisions are subject to appropriate board review and oversight. Potential conflicts of interest are addressed according to the ministry’s governing policies, and individuals with a conflict should not participate in decisions where their personal interests could affect independent judgment.
Protecting Privacy
Mountain Heart Ministries respects the privacy of the individuals who volunteer their time to provide organizational leadership.
For that reason, personal biographies, photographs, home addresses and other personal information about individual board members are not published on this website.
Information regarding Mountain Heart Ministries’ governance is maintained as required by applicable law and is provided to governmental agencies and other authorized parties when required.
