Everyone Has Something to Give
Making a difference doesn’t always require a large donation.
Sometimes it’s money. Sometimes it’s time. Sometimes it’s a truck and a strong back. Sometimes it’s a business willing to provide materials at cost. Sometimes it’s a church congregation collecting needed items. And sometimes it’s simply knowing the right person who can solve a problem.
At Mountain Heart Ministries, we believe there are many ways to help.
You don’t have to do everything. You can simply do something.
Give Financially
Financial gifts allow Mountain Heart Ministries to respond where resources are needed most.
Donations may help provide food, meet an emergency need, assist a struggling senior, help a child or family, support one of our community programs, or make another practical need possible.
As our programs grow, donors will also have opportunities to support particular areas of ministry that are especially meaningful to them.

Volunteer
Some of the most valuable things people can give don’t fit inside an envelope.
Mountain Heart Ministries will need people willing to share their time, abilities and experience.
Volunteer opportunities may include helping with special projects, organizing or distributing supplies, making telephone calls, assisting with events, delivering items, connecting us with community resources or simply being available when an extra pair of hands is needed.
You don’t have to be able to do everything.
Tell us what you CAN do.
Give Needed Items
Sometimes the need isn’t money at all.
It may be groceries. A winter coat. School supplies. Household necessities. Personal-care items. A piece of furniture. Building materials. Or something very specific needed by one individual or family.
As Mountain Heart Ministries begins serving our communities, we will share current needs and opportunities to give useful items.
Our goal is not simply to collect things.
We want to connect useful resources with people who actually need them.

Churches & Civic Organizations
Churches, Rotary Clubs, civic organizations, women’s groups, youth groups and other community organizations can become wonderful partners in serving Appalachian communities.
Your group might sponsor a particular project, collect needed supplies, provide volunteers, hold a fundraiser or adopt a specific community need.
We welcome the opportunity to work with organizations that share a desire to help people with dignity and compassion.
Businesses & Community Partners
A business doesn’t necessarily have to write a large check to make a meaningful difference.
A contractor may be able to donate labor. A building-supply company might provide materials at cost. A restaurant could help with a community meal. A retailer might donate merchandise. A professional might contribute his or her expertise.
And sometimes the greatest contribution is simply knowing someone who can help.
Mountain Heart Ministries hopes to build a network of businesses and community partners willing to use what they already have to help meet real needs.
Fundraise for Mountain Heart
Sometimes people want to help but don’t personally have the resources to make a large contribution.
That’s where creativity comes in.
Community dinners, yard sales, benefit events, school or civic projects, craft sales and other local fundraisers can turn many small contributions into something significant.

Help Where It Matters
Mountain Heart Ministries was created to notice people and needs that can easily be overlooked.
That means we don’t want helping to become complicated either.
Perhaps you can give money.
Perhaps you can volunteer.
Perhaps you own a business.
Perhaps you know someone with exactly the skill or resource we need.
Or perhaps one day you’ll simply notice someone who needs to be seen.
There is room for all of those people at Mountain Heart.
